Posture Problems

Rounded shoulders and forward head posture are structural — we measure them and rebuild healthy alignment.

Overview

“Sit up straight” is not a cure. Poor posture is usually the visible result of underlying structural and muscular imbalances — and once your spine adapts to it, willpower alone will not fix it. Correcting posture takes a structured, measurable plan.

Why you cannot just “sit up straight”

When the head drifts forward and the upper back rounds, muscles adapt to hold the new shape and the spine slowly remodels around it. Reminders help for a moment, but lasting change requires retraining the structure — the focus of our corrective care.

Measuring and correcting posture

We use Chiropractic Biophysics to measure your posture objectively, then rebuild healthy alignment. Because forward-head posture also drives neck pain and headaches, correcting it often relieves those problems too.

How poor posture affects your health

Posture is more than appearance. Forward-head and rounded-shoulder patterns increase the load on your spine, strain muscles and joints, and have been linked to reduced breathing capacity, more frequent headaches, and faster spinal wear. Correcting alignment protects far more than how you look.

Chiropractic Biophysics for posture correction

Because posture is structural, lasting change requires more than reminders. Chiropractic Biophysics gives us objective measurements and a proven correction model — mirror-image adjustments, traction, and rehab — to physically retrain your alignment and confirm the change on follow-up.

Our Approach

From problem to outcome.

A clear, four-part path — so you always understand what’s happening and what comes next.

Step 1 — The Problem

The Problem

Modern life pulls us forward — into screens, desks, and steering wheels. Over time the head drifts forward, the upper back rounds, and muscles adapt to hold the new shape. The longer it persists, the more the spine remodels around it.

Step 2 — How We Evaluate

How We Evaluate

We measure your posture objectively, quantifying forward head carriage and spinal alignment so we have a baseline to improve. This turns posture from a vague complaint into something we can track and correct.

Step 3 — How We Treat It

How We Treat It

A corrective program combines specific adjustments, spinal rehabilitation, and targeted exercises that retrain the muscles holding you in poor alignment. We rebuild the structure rather than just reminding you to stand tall.

Step 4 — Expected Outcome

Expected Outcome

Patients see measurable improvement on repeat posture analysis, along with less pain, better breathing mechanics, and a more confident, upright presence.

The Difference

Corrective program vs. braces & reminders

Method Retrains structure and muscles Temporary external support
Measurement Objective before-and-after scans None
Result Lasting structural change Reverts when you stop
Strength Builds the muscles that hold posture Can weaken them over time
Best for Real, lasting correction Short-term symptom relief

Questions, Answered

Questions about posture problems

Yes, with the right approach. Because posture is structural, it responds to a measured corrective plan — not just reminders. We track your progress with objective scans.

Meaningful structural change typically takes a few months of consistent corrective care, since we are retraining muscles and improving alignment, not applying a quick fix.

Braces can offer short-term relief, but worn long-term they can let the supporting muscles weaken. We focus on retraining your own structure so good posture becomes effortless rather than propped up.

Yes. Forward-head posture is linked to neck pain, headaches, and reduced breathing capacity. Correcting it often relieves those related issues too.

“I typically don't leave reviews, actually I don't think I've ever done a review for any business. Well that changes today. I'm writing this review because I feel a change in my lower back for the better. Let me remind you I am a former athlete and currently a tattoo artist. I have seen several chiropractors even at the same time. Nothing was working. I found docs office and thought just another chiropractor to steal my money.. oh was I wrong. What doc has done no other chiropractor could. And I've seen a lot. I currently have no back pain and my posture has improved. Another thing, the office is always positive vibes and the girls are cool people. I'm writing this as I'm running late to see doc 🤪 Thank you doc.”

“Dr. Drew is Experienced and knowledgeable on what he is doing. Loved how they take X-rays first and go over the details and come up with a solution plan. Doc assistants are very helpful and have patience to make sure recovery is going correct. Doc also checks with patient on every appointment and guides assistants to follow through. Environment is super clean with light music and bright lights. I love going there and come out with very positive energy. My posture is getting better and better everyday and I can feel it. Over all 10/10. You should definitely visit them.”
