Back Pain
Sharp, dull, or constant — back pain has a cause. We identify it with objective scans and build a plan to resolve it for good.

Back pain is the reason most people first walk through our doors. The good news: the vast majority of back pain is mechanical — it comes from how your joints, discs, and muscles are moving, or not moving — which means it is highly treatable once we know the cause. Our goal is never to simply numb the pain, but to find and resolve what is driving it.
Why back pain keeps coming back
When a joint loses normal motion, the muscles around it tighten, discs load unevenly, and nearby nerves get irritated. Painkillers and rest may quiet the symptom, but if the mechanical problem stays in place the pain tends to return. This is why our corrective care program focuses on restoring healthy movement and alignment instead of masking the ache.
Finding the real source
Using orthopedic testing, posture analysis, and Chiropractic Biophysics measurements, we pinpoint whether your pain is coming from a joint, a disc, a muscle, or a nerve. Sometimes back pain is connected to sciatica, a disc issue, or underlying posture problems — and identifying that link is what makes the plan work.
Can back pain become chronic?
It can — when the mechanical cause is never addressed. Pain that lingers beyond about twelve weeks is considered chronic, and the longer a joint stays restricted the more the surrounding muscles, discs, and nerves adapt around it. Catching the problem early and correcting the cause is the most reliable way to keep occasional back pain from becoming a permanent companion.
When should you see a chiropractor for back pain?
If your back pain lasts more than a week or two, keeps returning, or interferes with sleep, work, or movement, it is worth a professional evaluation. The sooner we identify whether a joint, disc, or muscle is driving it, the simpler and faster the correction tends to be.

From problem to outcome.
A clear, four-part path — so you always understand what’s happening and what comes next.
The Problem
Back pain usually starts with a joint that has lost normal motion. Surrounding muscles tighten to protect it, discs take uneven load, and nearby nerves get irritated. What you feel as "back pain" is the downstream result of that mechanical breakdown.
How We Evaluate
We take a detailed history, perform orthopedic and neurological testing, and use posture analysis and scans to pinpoint exactly which segments are involved. This tells us whether the source is joint, disc, muscle, or nerve — so the plan targets the real problem.
How We Treat It
Care restores motion to the restricted joints with specific adjustments, calms the protective muscle tension, and rebuilds the support around your spine through corrective exercise. We address the cause, not just the ache.
Expected Outcome
Most patients feel meaningful relief within the first few weeks, with corrective care reducing the likelihood it returns. You also leave knowing how to protect your back day to day.
Chiropractic care vs. pain medication
What progress looks like.
Every body is different, but here’s the general arc of care most patients follow.
Relief
2–6 weeks reducing pain and restoring motion.
Correction
8–16 weeks rebuilding support and alignment.
Maintenance
Periodic care to keep it from returning.
Questions about back pain
For most mechanical back pain, gentle movement beats bed rest. Prolonged rest can stiffen joints and weaken muscles. We will guide you on safe activity while we treat the cause.
Seek prompt care if pain follows a serious injury, or comes with leg weakness, numbness, or loss of bladder or bowel control. Our evaluation screens for these red flags first.
Often, yes. Many disc-related pains respond well to specific, controlled care that reduces irritation and restores motion. We tailor the approach to what your exam reveals.
Most patients with mechanical back pain notice meaningful change within the first few weeks of care. Your exact timeline depends on how long the problem has been building, which we map out after your evaluation.

“Dr. Drew and his office staff are all awesome!! He is a fantastic Chiro on top of just being a very welcoming guy. When you’re in the office you’re part of the Forza family. Dr. Drew always goes out of his way to make sure I’m feeling better and he makes sure I’m fully informed of what’s going on with my back with explanations and showing me the what I have going on in my X-rays. I’ve been to a thousand different offices and they always feel like you’re rushed in and rushed out so they can get onto the next patient. Not here. They take the time to make sure you feel better. I’ll never go anywhere else! All of the girls in the office are warm and welcoming. If you have scheduling issues they do their best to accommodate you. They always treat you like you’re a friend, not a stranger.”

“I can’t recommend Forza Chiropractic enough. Dr. Drew has been a phenomenal resource and support system for over 4 years. When I first started, I could barely tolerate my lower back pain and struggled just to function day to day. Through consistent therapy and continued treatment, I’ve gone from that point to now being completely pain-free. The impact on my quality of life has been nothing short of incredible. Not only did the treatment relieve my pain, but the ongoing care—whether consistent or intermittent over the years—has helped me maintain progress, improve mobility, and function better in every aspect of life. On top of that, the entire staff is incredibly kind and welcoming. They always communicate clearly, accommodate any needs or adjustments, and truly make you feel like part of a family from the moment you walk in. That level of care and personal connection makes a huge difference. I’m genuinely happier and able to enjoy things I couldn’t before, all thanks to the care I’ve received here. Thank you again for the support, the impact, and the life-changing improvements over the years!”

“I’ve had a great experience with Dr. Drew Voelsch at Forza Chiropractic. I first went in years ago for a sports-related injury, and they helped realign my spine and completely relieve my back pain. Recently, I started having back pain again and decided to return, and I’m already confident I made the right choice to come back and get things corrected again. Dr. Voelsch and the team are very friendly, flexible with scheduling, and genuinely care about your recovery. The clinic has a great atmosphere and makes every visit comfortable. I highly recommend Forza Chiropractic to anyone dealing with back pain or injuries.”
